Xavier Cooks has been provisionally suspended by the NBL over a potential doping violation. Cooks was the 22-23 MVP in Australia and recently named to the All-NBL Second Team. Cooks averaged 15.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.3 blocks this season. Cooks played in the NBA in 2023 with the Washington Wizards when he signed a four-year deal. Cooks finished out the 22-23 season with the Wizards before participating in Summer League and the preseason later in 2023. The Wizards waived Cooks before the start of the season and he returned to Australia.
