‘Welcome back, Usain Bolt’: Pros react to Youssef Zalal’s methodical win, lackluster ending at UFC Vegas 102
Youssef Zalal picked up a massive victory Saturday at UFC Vegas 102, but he didn’t win everyone over. In the evening’s co-main event, Zalal put on a sterling technical performance against Calvin Kattar, outmaneuvering and out-striking the veteran featherweight contender for three rounds en route to a convincing unanimous decision. Zalal appeared to let up on the gas in Round 3, allowing Kattar to come forward and make the final scorecards closer than they probably should have been. It was the fourth straight UFC win for Zalal, who is undefeated since returning to the promotion in 2024. Despite Zalal scoring…

DAN BIGGAR meets ALEX MITCHELL: England star looks ahead to ‘tough’ Six Nations test as he reflects on fanboy moment with Antoine Dupont and how to end Scotland curse
Alex Mitchell has come a long way from the days when he’d drive a Suzuki Wagon into training at Northampton. That was a proper old banger of a car and he used to get torn to bits for it by the players at Saints. Now, he’s England’s first-choice scrum-half by some distance, hanging around in South Kensington nightclubs, and swapping shirts with Antoine Dupont.I’m pleased for Alex – who I know as ‘Mitch’ from our days playing together with the Saints – because he always had the talent to be a top international. It doesn’t always come through in his media…
