Passages: Heinz Kluetmeier, Olympic Photographer and International Swimming Hall of Famer, 82 Heinz Kluetmeier, who photographed 11 Summer Olympics and was the first photographer inducted to the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2017, died on Tuesday. He was 82 years old. Kluetmeier photographed 11 Summer Olympics from 1972-2012 as well as the Winter Games, staffing all but two Olympics from 1972-2016. The Dallas Mavericks expect Luka Doncic to return from his left calf injury before the All-Star break. Doncic suffered the injury on Christmas Day and is expected to miss several more weeks. The All-Star Game will be held on Feb. 16th in San Francisco. Doncic is averaging 28.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists in 35.7 minutes over 22 games this season. Doncic missed all of the Mavericks’ training camp and preseason this season because of a calf contusion. Doncic has previously suffered a left calf strain three separate times.

The U.S. House of Representatives has approved legislation that aims to bar transgender women and girls from participating in female athletic programs in schools. The House passed the bill, titled the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act,” on Tuesday, though it was a divided vote, 218 to 206, almost entirely on party lines.
