The Golden State Warriors trade to acquire Dennis Schroder could have been an even bigger deal. The Warriors and Brooklyn Nets discussed potential variations that would have seen Cam Johnson also head from Brooklyn to Golden State. The Warriors would likely have had to include Jonathan Kuminga in a deal that returned Johnson. Golden State chose to make a simpler trade that brought back Schroder for now, while continuing to give them time to evaluate Kuminga.
