Choosing the perfect gift for a cyclist can be more challenging than it seems, especially when they already seem to have everything they could possibly need. And if you’re not a cyclist yourself, it can feel even more daunting. With terms like freehubs, derailleurs, and chamois pads flying around, it’s easy to get lost in a sea of technical jargon. As 2024 began, I wrote here:“The Wallabies have been stymied by seven cardinal rugby sins for a decade or more. A high penalty and card count, poor referee relations, a shapeless attack, poor ball retention, overreliance on a few stars, a tendency to play to the level of the opposition (tight losses to top teams, narrow wins versus weaker team), and a disconnect from fans and their proxies in the media. Joe Schmidt is tailor made to address the first six issues.”Schmidt has addressed accuracy, picked an affable but inspirational captain, brought shape to starter plays as well as third…

Conor McGregor may have to limit his jet-setting around the world and month-long vacations on his superyacht. After being found liable for the 2018 rape of Nikita Hand at a Dublin hotel, McGregor was ordered to pay the victim over $250,000 in damages and another million dollars to cover her court fees — a rather paltry amount for someone reportedly worth more than $100 million. Unfortunately for McGregor, the damage appears to be far from done. In the wake of the ruling, multiple companies have cut ties with the UFC megastar, including Proper No. 12, the popular brand of Irish…
