The New Orleans Pelicans have waived Matt Ryan. The Pelicans had a team option on his contract for the 25-26 season. The Pelicans will leave their 15th roster spot open by waiving Ryan, whose agent is Eric Fleisher. New Orleans recently signed Javonte Green to a contract.   In 28 games last season with the Pelicans, Ryan averaged 5.4 points and 1.4 reboudns while shooting 45.1 percent on three-pointers. Ryan split time during the 22-23 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers.  Ryan went unselected in the 2020 NBA Draft out of Chattanooga.
