JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — The Appalachian League, in its fourth season as a collegiate summer league, put on its annual All-Star Game July 23 at the home of the Johnson City Doughboys, the defending Appy League champions.
In a well-pitched, well-played game, the West defeated the East 4-1, with incoming Vanderbilt freshman Brodie Johnston (2027), who plays for league-leading Greeneville, taking home MVP honors.
