WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — On its face, it might sound absurd to suggest Wake Forest might have a better roster this spring than it did a year ago, when it was led by No. 2 overall pick Chase Burns, No. 4 overall pick Nick Kurtz and No. 10 overall pick Seaver King, plus third-rounder Josh Hartle and fourth-rounder Michael Massey. All five were preseason All-Americans, contributing to the sky-high expectations for preseason No. 1 Wake Forest, coming off a historic 2023 campaign that resulted in the No. 1 national seed and a trip to the CWS semifinals.
