The 2024 season was historic for the Kansas State baseball team. The Wildcats made their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2013, and their first since Pete Hughes took over as the team’s head coach. At the Fayetteville Regional, K-State took down each of the other three participants – Louisiana Tech, Southeast Missouri State and host Arkansas – one by one, defeating SEMO in the regional final to advance to the super regional round.
