This will be a year of transition for the Washington Huskies as the Eddie Smith era begins with the 2025 season. Smith is extremely well regarded while also being a native of the Pacific Northwest. His apprenticeship included stints at national powers Virginia and LSU, learning under hall of famers like Brian O’Connor and Paul Mainieri. Smith’s excellent three-year run at Utah Valley offered proof of concept, and this was as an outstanding hire.
