Roman Kryklia will face British Muay Thai fighter Lyndon Knowles at ONE Fight Night 30, in which he will defend his ONE Heavyweight Muay Thai title against the promotion’s newest signed fighter. However, much like Alex Roberts, we don’t know who exactly Knowles is. Today, we look more closely at the British striker’s background.

Lyndon Knowles is a 2-time WBC Muay Thai World Champion
Despite his lesser fame compared to the kickboxing heavyweights, this is due to the surprisingly niche nature of the upper weight classes in Muay Thai air. However, Lydon Knowles is still an exceptionally accomplished and respected name in Great Britain and the whole world of Muay Thai. This is due to his long presence in Muay Thai and staying at the top of the Muay Thai world. He has a bruising, come-forward style with sharp elbows.
Trained by brother and famed Muay Thai trainer Christian Knowles
He was trained by his brother Christian Knowles, one of the best Muay Thai coaches in the UK and the trainer of two division and two sport champions, Johnathan Haggerty and his younger brother, Freddie Haggerty. Lyndon Knowles has been an unrecognized staple of that team until now due to him fighting in the outer circuits of Muay Thai in the WBC rankings. Now that ONE has made a Heavyweight World Title, and Lyndon is a two-time world champion, he can break himself into the mainstream.

Does Knowles stand a chance against one of the violent finishers, Roman Kryklia?
Although his body and face don’t scream world champion, his come-forward dirty fighting ability does. He does have explosive power, speed, size, and physicality. He makes up for a nasty cliche game with good elbows and knees. Low kicks from the outside and solid inside boxing. Kyrklia has faced more dangerous opponents than Knowles and is very much the favorite, but I wouldn’t count out Lyndon Knowles, as everyone knows his camp can always pull off the upset.
