U.S. Open Qualifier Michael Geh Chooses Princeton For 2026
NEW COMMIT: Princeton University has gained a new verbal commitment* from U.S. Open qualifier Michael Geh of Bronx, New York.
He will join Peter Vu as a member of the Tigers’ Class of 2030.
Regarding his commitment, he said:
“I am incredibly honored to announce my commitment to the admissions process to continue my athletic and academic career at Princeton University! This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of my coaches, John, Jack, and Dom, as well as my family, friends, and incredible teammates. I also extend a heartfelt thank you to Coach Matt and the rest of the coaching staff for this amazing opportunity. GO TIGERS!”
A freestyler and backstroker, Geh does his club swimming with Badger Swim Club. He earned five top-3 finishes at the NCAP invitational earlier this month where he earned six new best times. He placed 10th in the 200m back at Speedo Summer Championships in July.
His best times include:
- 200 back – 1:45.23
- 100 back – 48.40
- 200 free – 1:36.43
- 100 free – 44.62
Currently a junior at Riverdale Country School, Geh is the reigning NYSAIS Athletic Association champion in the 200 free and 100 back. He won the 200 free by nearly six seconds and the 100 back by just over four.
*IVY LEAGUE DISCLAIMER:* A “verbal commitment” does not guarantee admission. An Ivy League coach cannot guarantee admission but can only commit support in the admissions process.
