LOS ANGELES — “Ball security is job security.”
UCLA assistant coach Bryant Ward was talking to the Bruins during an early practice about the importance of bunt coverage, but the message was part of a larger focus that permeated UCLA’s fall.
“Ball security, run prevention. Run prevention was definitely a focus in the fall,” head coach John Savage said. “We want to get back to Bruin pitching and Bruin defense.”
