New York Knicks star Josh Hart revealed his motivation behind the team’s NBA Cup bid, with his eyes set on a brand-new Audemars Piguet watch.
Josh Hart wants a new AP, so the Knicks better win the NBA Cup for his sake
Every member of the NBA Cup winning team will receive a hefty $500,000 bonus – and Hart has already picked out what he’ll spend his money on if the Knicks are victorious.
New York’s victory over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday ensured the Knicks advanced to the quarter-finals after topping Group A, where they’ll host old foe Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks at Madison Square Garden.
Hart had a humorous response when asked about what he’d do with the bonus if New York go all the way, which his teammate Jalen Brunson didn’t like too much.
“I might get a new watch, though. Yeah, [I’m scrapping for the money]. I don’t really care about the young guys getting any money, I only care about me, what I’m gonna spend. I want a new watch. I’m gonna get that.”
In the background, Brunson was heard screaming: “You’re a f**king a**hole!”
