In two years serving as the head coach at Western Kentucky Marc Rardin has turned the Hilltoppers into one of the stronger player development programs at the mid-major level. That’s exactly what he was brought aboard to do, previously guiding Iowa Western as one of the nation’s perennial powerhouses at the junior college level for 20 years, a run that included 11 appearances at the JUCO College World Series.
