Over the summer, Joey Hawkins became the third head coach in Missouri State baseball history. It might seem inconceivable that a program that has played college baseball since 1964 could be on just its third coach, but that’s what happens when you have a head coach who was at the helm for 42 seasons, as was the case with Hawkins’ predecessor, Keith Guttin.
