TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona came in at No. 27 in D1Baseball.com’s recent Top 100 Programs series. I wrote up the Wildcats for that ranking and it gave me an opportunity to reflect on this program. Here is the gist of what I wrote, and it remains top of mind heading into the 2025 season: “This might be the most underrated program in America. The Wildcats own four national titles (1976, 1980, 1986, 2012) and only four other programs own more. Just four. This program can be streaky, but the good runs have been significant.”
