Arsenal have expressed their interest in signing Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United, according to Daily Mail.
The Gunners have made three signings this summer after completing deals for David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino.
They are now interested in the English winger, who has been in fine form for Newcastle United.
The Gunners are keen on signing the Magpies star but a move for the former Everton winger will have to wait till next summer.
Gordon is currently happy at St James’ Park and he is looking to extend his contract at the club.
The Magpies have no intention of letting one of their best players leave the club any time soon.
They intend to keep him at the club by offering him a new and improved deal to push away clubs interested in signing him.
Gordon has started the season in fine form for Eddie Howe’s team as the winger scored last week in the 1-1 draw against Bournemouth.
Newcastle were losing but Gordon scored in the 77th minute of the match to put his team on level terms.
Arsenal director is an admirer of the Newcastle United player
After an impressive 2023-24 season, Gordon is attracting interest from some of the biggest Premier League clubs.
He scored 11 goals last season and provided 10 assists in what was his career best season.
The player is happy at Newcastle with his family settled on Tyneside and at the moment, he is not thinking about relocating hundreds of miles away.
Arsenal sporting director Edu has added the England international on his list of targets and it remains to be seen if the Gunners will make a move for him next summer.
