“I’m very excited to join Coach Sam in coaching and developing the Miami University Swim & Dive Team! Thank you to Coach Sam and the Miami Athletic Department for allowing me to join such a historically successful team and an academically elite university,” Crisci said in a university statement. “Let’s go win some championships and continue this story of academic and athletic excellence! Go RedHawks!”
Pitter was hired last month to lead the RedHawks after serving as the head coach at Pitt.
Crisci, a native of Williamsburg, Va., served as a recruiting coordinator at W&M. He finaled in three events at the CAA Championships.

At Tennessee, he set the Vols’ program record with a time of 51.15 seconds in the 100 breast last year. He made the podium in two relays at NCAAs with Tennessee, gleaned three relay silver medals from SECs and qualified for Olympic Trials.
Crisci received his bachelor’s degree in finance at Pitt and a master’s degree in marketing in Knoxville.
“We are very excited to welcome Flynn to the Miami Swimming & Diving Family,” Pitter said. “Flynn has an outstanding work ethic, drive to improve those around him and passion for the sport. His success as an athlete shows his high level of competitiveness, and our student-athletes are lucky to learn from him. Welcome Flynn!”
